CS Student Selected for Engineering Internship in India

Ben_Holst.jpg

The Fulton College of Engineering recently selected computer science student, Ben Holst, for an internship in India.  Holst will live in Bangalore, India working full-time for Hewlett Packard during spring and summer terms.  Holst’s supervisor will most likely be Indian and he will work with a culturally diverse team of students from around the world.

David Anthony, Assistant Dean in the Fulton College of Engineering and Technology, helped select Holst for this internship.  Anthony believes it is important for students to have a world-wide view.

“Many of our graduates in computer science, computer engineering, and information technology will interface with individuals from other countries over the course of their professional lives,” said Anthony.  “Understanding the cultural differences, the work habits, the capabilities, and the challenges that face workers from other countries may be the key to success.”
